The Amison Family Tree

Pottery Marks

Charles Amison (& CO. LTD.) was based at the Stanley China Works, Wedgwood Street, Longton. Wedgwood Street was renamed Amison Street in 1953.
Over the years, the factory took various names and often changed the stamp mark found on the base of the ware. The post 1900 stamps incorporate the trade name Stanley. Below you will see several examples of the known marks and the period they were used. These examples are taken from "Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks by Geoffrey A Godden."
